The castellated panels can be supplied ‘plain’ or with an EPS backing – as useful way of incorporating the insulation layer and pipe fixing method into one product. The panel is a moulded
plastic panel, with an overall depth of 20mm – the ‘castles’ are spaced at 50mm intervals provide a consistent fixing poin and enabling a fast and neat pipework installation.
The AmbiChipboard system is a unique combination of a structural floor solution, while incorporating underfloor heating. It consists
of high grade moisture-resistant tongue/grooved chipboard panels, that are pre-routered to take 12mm UFH pipework. Pipework chanels are routed typically at 150mm spacings, with radius returns
and transit channels to facilitate installation. Often the tail/transit pipework is run beneath the floor in the joist void to minimise the
for any further routing of the boards.
Ambiente reccomend the use of a 6mm ply (or cement-based alternative) to be laid over the system before laying the floor finish.
Biscuit screed system provides an economical means of incorporating UFH into a property, while also offering excellent overall heat output.
This system can be used on ground or upper floors, and involves laying a thin layer of screed over UFH pipework clipped to insulation, between battens. It is only possible to get away with such a thin screed layer (as little as 25mm) as it is not forming a
structural slab – just used to fill in between the battens/joists.
The only disadvantage of this system is that it does introduce a ‘wet’ trade in the screed, which can especially be challenging on upper floors.
The AmbiDeck® system really does give the best of both worlds – it provides a low-profile underfloor heating system, which incorporates an insulation layer and can be tiled directly onto. AmbiDeck® consists of a high-density XPS insulation panel, 18 mm thick.
The face of the panel is cement-coated, making it rigid and durable. It is grooved to take 12 mm UFH pipework, with a radius return grooved into each panel, making the panel universal. Additional pipework channels can easily be routed/ grooved into the panel.
The AmbiEgo control drive completely redefines heating circuit control. With the AmbiEgo-AI (artificial intelligence), a perfect hydraulic balance becomes child’s play. Convenient, simple and reliable.
AmbiEgo variable speed drives can be used as a ‘plug-and-play’ solution on all common distribution systems. You do not need any special commissioning or parameterization, nor additional components such as routers, gateways or app control. As a result, they differ significantly from the expensive “home automation systems”.
The AmbiFloat 10 system can be used in existing floor constructions as well as new build applications, on both floor and upper floors. It requires a flat and level solid sub floor for the insulation to fully support the floor finish on top. The insulation is pre-grooved to take the underfloor heating pipework and over laid with foil to assist the distribution of heat.
The installation involves covering the complete floor area with insulation and where necessary using battens to provide extra support to door thresholds or perimeter edging. The pipework is then laid into the grooves as per the installation drawings and taken back to the manifold to complete the circuit. The system is then overlaid with a fully floating floor deck onto which your floor finish is applied. In the case of wooden floors, this can be laid directly on to the insulation to minimise height buildup and maximise the heating output.
The AmbiFloat 30 system is designed specifically for joisted floor constructions and provides a stable and effective form of heating. Similar to the AmbiPlate 30 system, the AmbiFloat 30 system
incorporates the aluminium profile and insulation into one product.
The insulation panels are made from high density insulation to provide increased strength and are available in various thicknesses starting from 50mm. Before the insulation panels can be installed, timber battens should be fixed to the sides of the joists at the required depth to support the insulation. The insulation panels are over laid with aluminum foil to provide an equal distribution of heat and are grooved for the underfloor heating pipework to sit within. The pipework is installed in continuous loops within the floor back to the manifold in the normal fashion.
The AmbiLowboard (EPS) system is part of our range of low-profile systems, ideal for retro-fit scenarios, where floor build-up height is at a premium.
AmbiLowboard (EPS) can be used in a suspended floor application, providing there is a structural flooring layer over the joists, which is level and firm. This will enable the AmbiFloat panels to fully support the floor finishes on top. The insulation is pre-grooved to take the 12mm underfloor heating pipework and covered with foil to assist min the distribution of heat.
AmbiLowboard (SRB) is a grooved cement board system, part of our low-profile range, ideal for retro-fit scenarios. This system is designed for hard floor finishes such as tiles and wood flooring, which can be laid directly on top of the installed system.
The boards are supplied in two pre-routered panels – straight boards and return panels, depending on the configuration of the pipework pattern. The cementitious nature of the board gives it a low thermal resistance, which allows for a good and even spread of heat through the floor.
The AmbiSolo system is a low-profile castellated underfloor heating system, designed for refurbishment projects where floor buildup is at a premium. The system incorporates a 12 mm Ambiente underfloor heating pipe within a 16 mm plastic castellated panel, which is then covered with 18 – 22 mm of AmbiLevelling fibre-reinforced levelling compound.
The way that this system is designed means that it must be laid directly onto a structural and level subfloor, not onto any loose flooring or insulation layer. This can be a concrete subfloor or chipboard floor, but it must be a structural layer as the 18 – 22 mm compound is not structural in its own right.
The AmbiSoundDeck system provides the ultimate combination of acoustics, insulation and underfloor heating in one product, reducing labour time and improving the quality of the installation on site. It provides a low-profile underfloor heating system, incorporates high-density XPS thermal insulation, includes a high-performance acoustic detail and can be directly tiled over – truly unique within the underfloor heating market.
The thickness of the panel is 18 mm. The face of the panel is cement-coated, making it rigid and durable. It’s grooved to take 12 mm UFH pipework, with a radius that returns grooved into each panel, making the panel universal. Additional pipework channels can easily be routed/grooved into the panel.
The AmbiTak is a quick and flexible system, providing an even and effective form of heating within a screeded floor build up.
UFH pipework is typically clipped to a laminated EPS sheet (25mm minimum), which has a printed grid to help the installer achieve the correct pipe spacings. Tacker staples are fed from a specialist tool through the laminate layer and into the EPS insulation – the staples are barbed to give a good fixing that will withstand the flex of the pipe.
The LunaTouch WiFi operates by itself as independent control to the rest of the heating system as a thermostat in either programmable or non-programmable operation.
a. Non-programmable – operates as a simple thermostat where the temperature is held at the set point continuously.
b. Programmable – operates as a fully programmable thermostat with 4 times and temperature periods each day. This enables you to regulate the temperature in your home by setting specific temperatures for times of the day.
App control allows you to adjust thermostats in a group or individually from your phone anywhere in the world.
The UB10Spin® is an innovative way to keep your pump alive in the non-heating season. Its unique pump exercising feature allows the installer to select the frequency that the pump exercises when there has been no activity. This minimises call outs to seized pumps in peak time and keeps your systems alive for when you most need them.
The UB10Spin® is a 10-zone, 230V wiring centre for use with water underfloor heating systems. Zone 10 can be used for ‘Non-UFH Zones’ such as radiators or towel rails. It does this by opening the actuator output but not opening the Boiler, Pump or Zone Valve.
The UB10 is an 10 Zone wiring centre for use with 230v thermostats, the outline dimension is 320mm length x 140mm height x 55mm depth .the UB10 can be used to control any actuator or valve which requires a 230v AC signal to open. At the same time the UB10 offers the ability to operate a boiler or other heat source through a volt free output. Additional outputs designed for use with Ambiente underfloor heating systems are also included as standard. These are the pump and valve outputs which would normally operate a manifold pump or a manifold valve.
The Ambifibre PRO levelling compound is a flexible, fibre-reinforced, rapid setting, which can be applied from 3 mm to 40 mm in a single application. Ensuring excellent workability and is suitable for use with AmbiSolo, AmbiDeck, and AmbiSoundDeck.
Premium flowing capabilities and stability, this protein-free product sets with an outstanding surface finish and can be walked on after 95 minutes.
